Re: Noblet Clarinet Author: Date: 21:42 Attachment: (95k) Attachment: (704k) Susieray What year was that catalogue? I was surprised the see a metal clarinet there. As Lelia has indicated, this instrument is a Leblanc Normandy clarinet with a Noblet mouthpiece. It really makes no sense as the serial number is very low, and the emblem is very new. The Normandy Special had the same logo as the Original Normandy, with Depressing Given the low serial number, I would put the age of the horn at 1940. But if you look below at the three versions of the lyre (and oval) it starts out simple and gets more complex over time. The Noblet 27 was an entirely separate model from the 40 and had a different bore design. Normandy Clarinet S Plus The Other I will provide some before and after pictures of this amazing early Noblet 40. Re: Noblet Clarinet Author: Date: 23:05 FYI, The is the Noblet specific page as the Normandy, Noblet and Leblanc pages are being separated from the complete page and at some point the clsnLeblanc.htm will only be Leblanc clsnLeblancInfo.htm will be about the company, current, past info clsnLeblancNoblet.htm will only be Noblet clsnLeblancNormandy.htm will on be Normandy Cheers Stephen Sklar, Re: Noblet Clarinet Author: Date: 18:29 Attachment: (428k) Steve, on your Noblet page you indicate that the Noblet 40 later became the Noblet 27 which is incorrect.
